Let’s Get Ready to Rumble: Comparing Nutritional Supplements to Enada Co-E1

There are a lot of supplements on the market today. When it comes to comparing which ones are the best, it’s not easy to do. Check out this comparison of a few supplements and Enada Co-E1 for treating memory loss, improving athletic performance and reducing symptoms of jet lag.
Supplements That Help Increase Memory: Gingko Bilbao vs Enada Co-E1
Gingko Bilbao
Gingko is a Chinese herbal medicine which comes from the dried leaves of the maidenhair tree. It is made up of flavonoids and terpenoids, which are chemical compounds. Many people believe this supplement will sharpen their concentration and memory. Earlier studies had shown there was a correlation between taking Gingko and improving cognition, but recently those studies have been debunked and now it’s widely believed that Gingko doesn’t help improve memory and concentration.
Enada Co-E1
Enada Co-E1 increases the energy production inside the cells of your body. With increased energy, your cells can relay information to each other quickly. Several studies have shown that the production of adrenaline and dopamine, which are neurotransmitters, are increased within the cells. These neurotransmitters are responsible for cognitive performance, improving memory and cognition.
Supplements That Enhance Athletic Performance: Carnitine vs Enada Co-E1
Carnitine
Carnitine is an antioxidant found in meat and other types of food. People who are healthy don’t have to consume carnitine because their body naturally produces it. Carnitine helps produce energy in the cell’s mitochondria, and in our muscles. Since carnitine is used for energy production within the muscles, it was theorized that it could help improve muscle function, reduce fatigue and boost performance. After 20 years of testing, it has shown that it has no effect on athletic performance.
Enada Co-E1
Enada Co-E1 is the bio-available, antioxidant form of Vitamin B-3. Known as the biological rocket fuel, Enada Co-E1 is essential to the production of cellular energy. It is also involved in basic metabolism processes (which include the breakdown of glucose and fats), and supplies energy to the brain, nerves, muscles, heart and all other organs, helping them to function. For this reason, Enada Co-E1 boosts stamina and endurance, while providing mental clarity and focus. It also helps alleviate drowsiness and increases energy. Enada Co-E1 has been back by studies and been proven to help boost athletic performance.

“The Cure” for Jet Lag: Melatonin vs. Enada Co-E1
Jet Lag
 Melatonin
Melatonin is a hormone produced by the pineal gland in your brain. It is also found some edible plants. Melatonin affects circadian rhythms and promotes drowsiness. Some studies have found that melatonin is effective for preventing or reducing the symptoms of jet lag. This supplement should only be used for a short time period as it has adverse effects from long term use. Also, melatonin will cause you to be drowsy during the day, therefore counteracting the beneficial effects it has for jet lag.
Enada Co-E1
Enada Co-E1 increases the cellular production of ATP and facilitates dopamine synthesis, which means it may counteract the effects of jet lag on brain performance, mood, and sleepiness while boosting the immune system. Enada Co-E1 maintains homeostasis and aids in returning you to your built-in circadian rhythms. Research reveals that individuals who received Enada Co-E1 after an overnight flight across time zones performed significantly better on five of eight cognitive and psychomotor tests and experienced less sleepiness than those on the same flight who did not receive Enada Co-E1.
When researching supplements, it is important to remember that even if one claims to do what it says, it may not work in the end. Enada Co-E1 has a trusted brand for over 20 years, with numerous studies proving its effectiveness.

10 Ways to Stay Healthy During the Fall and Winter

Chillier weather is fast approaching.  This means flu, colds, staying inside more and just losing motivation to stay active.  I’m going to suggest some tips that will help prevent common illnesses and inspire a healthy and active season.   Most of these tips should be practiced year-round, but is extremely important during cold weather months when we are especially susceptible to getting sick.
  1. Exercise. Head to the gym to stay out of the cold and workout at least an hour, 3days a week. Bundle up and take walks or go for a hike. It’s important to get at least 15mins a day in of exercise.
    1. Find someone to work out with during the winter season. Having a partner is great for accountability and even for a little friendly competition.
    2. Try a new workout or find a class to join. Something new and different tends to create excitement and hold your interest longer.
    3. Warm up inside before a workout to get blood flowing to the muscles. Cold and stiff muscles are more prone to injury. Consider jumping jacks, a jog on the treadmill or cycling.
    4. Try Yoga or Pilates. Yoga is a great way to keep muscles limber and take a stress break. Pilates builds strong core muscles and can improve posture.
  2. Clothing. Wear the right clothes when exercising when it is cold out. Polypropylene provides great insulation but minimizes moisture loss. Gore-Tex is a fabric used widely for providing protection from the rain and wind.
  3. Healthy diet. Eat more Fruits and vegetables, with minimal amounts of organic meats. You need to keep your body in good shape with clean healthy foods.
    1. Carrots: A diet rich in beta-carotene (which is also found in bell peppers, kale, broccoli, sweet potatoes and squash) protects the lining of the nose, which traps germs before they can infect you.
    2. Green Tea: Stay warm and drink tea. Tea has interferon called L-theanine which fights viruses in the blood. Green or black tea is fine to drink.
    3. Nonfat Greek Yogurt: This has high amounts of probiotics and protein. Protein helps increase the number of immune cells in your body. Probiotics are healthy bacteria in the gut that keeps you free of disease causing germs. Eating yogurt or taking a probiotic supplement daily is recommended.
    4. Salmon: Fish is a great source of heart-strengthening omega-3 fatty acids. One serving also contains up to 1,000 IU of vitamin D; which helps stave off colds.
    5. Garlic: A compound called allicin fights against bacterial, viral and fungal infections; which in turn fight off colds, the flu and other illnesses.
  4. Meditate. Meditation will help lower stress levels to keep your immune system strong. All you need is a few minutes and a quiet corner.
  5. Sleep. Make sure you are getting enough sleep; at least 6-8 hours per night. If you’re running on fumes during the day your body’s immune system will begin to shut down, making you vulnerable to getting sick.
  6. Humidifier.  A humidifier will combat dry air and reduces your susceptibility to infections.
  7. Pop Astragalus. This immune booster supplement comes from a Chinese root. Take for at least 3 months out of the year for best results.  Suggest does is two 500mg capsules of dried astragalus root, three times a day.
  8. Don’t worry, be happy.Stress can impair your immune system while a positive attitude can boost your immune system.
  9. Get outside whenever there is sunlight. Vitamin D has been proven to boost serotonin levels putting you in a good mood.
  10. Already getting sick. If you feel like you are starting to get sick, there are ways to fight it off or at least lessen the length of time you are under the weather.
    1. Eliminate all dairy products.
    2. Eliminate all alcohol, this impedes your immune system.
    3. Eliminate all grains.
    4. Increase your intake of Zinc.
    5. Increase water consumption (even more than normal!).
    6. Eat less food as this will give your body a much needed rest from digestion and give it a chance to concentrate on fighting off potential invaders.
    7. Take herbs like Echinacea, Goldenseal and Grapefruit Seed Extract
    8. Get more rest than normal. Increase the recommended supplementation above
Hope these tips will help you and your families stay healthy during the colder months.

Overview of Enada Co-E1 Products

ENADA Co-E1 is the only brand of NADH currently available that is stabilized and is actually protected by several worldwide patents. Competitors continue to try to bypass these patents and introduce NADH products. However, all these products are non-stabilized forms of NADH.  Enada Co-E1 is most effective when taken on an empty stomach. That is, first thing in the morning, or at least an hour before eating and/or two hours after eating. This is because of their coating, allowing it to move smoothly into the intestine where it is absorbed. These supplements come in 5mg doses. This is the supplement for users who like to take NADH once or twice daily for their health ailments, rather than for energy boosts. We currently have 7 supplements I’ve attached a slide that talks about each one.

Anti-Aging Tips

Everyone wants to live a longer, fuller life, but the fountain of youth hasn’t been found or invented yet. In this blog, I’m going to explain three ways to help you feel and look younger; while helping you live longer.

Most people do not drink enough water. Water provides skin cells with hydration; this will lead to a softer, moister complexion with less wrinkle formation. Wrinkles are formed when the skin is dry, tight and flaky.  Drinking water will help detoxify your body. It removes unwanted wastes and toxins. Without plenty of water you can become unhealthy; leading to acne, constipation, urinary tract infections, and fatigue. The right amount of water for you to consume each day is different for everyone. Use this formula to calculate what is right for you: your weight in pounds divided by 2 will give you the amount in ounces of water to consume each day.

Eating certain foods will help provide anti-aging benefits. Pomegranates will give you softer skin. This fruit is high in vitamin C, which helps guard against over exposure to ultraviolet rays.  Sun damage, as most are aware, leads to wrinkles. Pomegranates also contain polyphenol compounds that fight free radicals, and a super nutrient that increases the preservation of collagen, to make your skin look smooth and plump.  Blueberries are full of antioxidants. This provides your skin with protection from free radicals, sun damage, emotional stress and over exercising. Spinach and Kale contain antioxidant compounds to help with sun damage. Also spinach is loaded with lutein and beta-carotene that improves skin's elasticity. Drinking green tea will help diminish the appearance of brown spots on your skin as you age. The tea contains catechins, which prevent sun damage, provide antioxidants that combat free radical damage, and reverse the effects of aging. Lastly using Olive oil for cooking will help your heart circulate your blood leaving your skin rosy and supple. This is because olive oil contains good fats that are high in Omega-3s.

Taking Enada NADH helps with anti-aging by protecting your cells from damage by toxic agents. It also promotes damaged cell and tissue repair, increases energy production in the cells, and extends the lifespan of cells, tissues and organs. Another benefit  is that when heart cells are incubated with Enada NADH, ATP concentration inside the heart cells increases. Since the heart cells have more ATP energy, they can function better and live longer with Enada NADH.

Start incorporating these tips little by little and you’ll start noticing the effects of looking younger and having more energy.

Benefits of Coconut oil

Coconut oil is one of the best super foods available today. The positive effects are numerous from skin care, helping aid in weight loss and mental health. To get the best benefits you need to buy organic, virgin cold pressed coconut oil. Here is a list of the top 7 reasons to start adding coconut oil into your life.
  1. Use coconut oil to fight infection. Either have a spoonful of the oil or rub some on the infected area. Since it is made up of lauric acid, which dissolves the cellular walls of viruses, bacteria, protozoa and fungi, it kills the harmful pathogens. Consuming the oil daily will also aid in preventing infections from forming in the future.
  2. Great for Dental care. Oil pulling with coconut oil aids in keeping your mouth healthy. Oil pulling is swishing oil in your mouth for 15 minutes. and then spitting it out. The oil soaks up bacteria, viruses, and other organisms hiding in-between your teeth. By creating a daily routine this will whiten teeth, detox your mouth, alleviate halitosis, reduce gingivitis, help prevent cavities, and relieve gum and tooth sensitivity.
  3. Aids in weight loss. Coconut oil increases energy expenditure by 5% in a 24 hour period, leading long term weight loss. Also helps regulate your appetite and improve digestion. You can switch to using coconut oil for all your cooking and baking needs. This way you are using it on a regular basis and making your meals healthier.
  4. Coconut oil is great for skin care and anti-aging. You can benefit by just applying it directly to your skin. It provides protection from harmful UV radiation, heals damaged skin, reduces signs of aging, fades stretch marks, and helps reduce cellulite by strengthening the epidermis. It has this effect because it is full of the antioxidant vitamin E, and is a natural moisturizer.
  5. Makes your hair healthier. Since coconut oil is a natural moisturizer, it works great as a deep conditioner, smoothes flyaways, helps get rid of dandruff, adds strength, and shine. Also, it will protect your hair from sun damage and dehydration.
  6. Keeps your brain healthy and sharp. Coconut oil contains medium chain triglycerides, which are metabolized easier in your body. It will help with memory loss, depression and neurological disorders.
  7. Coconut oil is a natural mood enhancer. By balancing hormones it helps reduce stress and anxiety which leads you to stay motivated and more energetic throughout the day.

Co-E1 Enada: Fact Friday!

We get a lot of questions about how our NADH supplements help with the major diseases . We wanted to address and discuss why and how NADH helps with curing and preventing these diseases.

Q. Can NADH enhance a person’s memory?

A. Yes, it can. Memory is not a single function; rather, it's composed of a system of multiple processes. Memory can be defined as the storage of information, signals, and stimuli received by our five senses and the retrieval of this stored information. The major prerequisite for memory is cognition. Cognition is the process of receiving signals from outside the body. This is triggered by a chemical reaction in the cells of the central nervous system, and certain molecules induce information from one form to the other. These neurotransmitters are responsible for vegetative as well as cognitive performance. The best known neurotransmitters are adrenaline, its precursor noradrenaline, dopamine, and serotonin. With an increase in the production of these neurotransmitters, cognitive performance will improve. Several studies have shown that dopamine and adrenaline production are naturally increased by NADH. Therefore, NADH can effectively enhance memory.

Q. How can NADH help ?

A. NADH has been found to dramatically help the symptoms progressive neurological disorder that affects about one million people in the United States, most of who are over the age of fifty. The age‐specific incidence peaks at about age seventy and then declines. Men and women are equally affected, but African‐Americans and Asians are less likely than caucasians to develop problems. The symptoms  are caused by a deficit in one of the most important messenger substances of the central nervous system, dopamine. This neurotransmitter is responsible for muscle tone and strength, upright position, libido, and emotional drive. This dopamine deficiency is reflected by akinesia (inability to move), rigidity (stiffness), and tremors (shaking). These symptoms should not be ignored.
It has been shown in a number of studies that NADH is able to stimulate the production of dopamine naturally.

Enada NADH: Burn Calories and Get things done!

We all have things that we need to get done but can't stand doing, but maybe knowing that you can count everyday household chores as a workout you might think twice. Vacuuming, dusting, cooking, washing windows, these all add up to calorie burners. So take your daily dose of NADH energy booster and get to working!

Sweeping or Mopping
Sweeping or mopping requires some physical effort, can help you burn a fair amount of calories as well. While sweeping and mopping, you’ll likely burn between 200 and 300 calories and get a pretty good upper and lower body workout at the same time. Sweeping your floors before you mop will burn even more calories.

Dusting
Dust accumulates in everybody’s home and if you’re like most; you probably don’t dust more than once a week. However, dusting a little more often won’t just be good for your health, it will also be good for your waistline. Depending on your weight, you could burn anywhere from 200 to 400 calories per hour while dusting. If you spend just one hour dusting, twice a week, your house is going to be pretty clean and your waistline, trimmer.

Mowing the lawn
Use a manual or push mower for maximum calorie burn. Expect to burn about 325 calories per hour.

Cooking
You can actually burn several hundred calories during the process of cooking a meal. Putting a frozen dinner in the microwave doesn’t count – but, even preparing a simple meal that takes an hour of preparation can help you burn approximately 200 calories.

Washing Your Windows
Window washing is a good exercise for your upper body and core muscles since you’ll likely be reaching and stretching with your arms in an upward motion to clean the tops of windows. Spending only half an hour window washing could easily burn 200 calories, depending on your weight.

Gardening
Working in your vegetable and flower garden will help you burn about 250 calories per hour. Enjoy the added bonus of fresh vegetables from your garden, which will benefit your wallet and your waistline.

Enada NADH: Natural Allergy Cures

Spring time is the best! It is when everything wakes up and starts blooming after the long dead winter. It is simply beautiful, but anyone who suffers from seasonal allergies knows that springtime can be both a blessing and a curse. The rising pollen counts herald unpleasant reactions such as congestion, itchy eyes, sneezing and headaches. Many seek limited relief from over the counter allergy preparations that have unwanted and unnecessary side effects, more natural remedies may alleviate symptoms without the unpleasant side effects.

While allergies can range from mild to severe, there are some supplements that can offer sufferers relief.

Butterbur

The herb appears to work as an inflammation inhibitor, which blocks some chemicals that trigger swelling in the nasal passages.

Some research shows that an extract of butterbur root (Ze 339) are just as effective at relieving nasal symptoms as antihistamines like Zyrtec and Allegra. Butterbur has the advantage of not causing sleepiness, a common side effect of antihistamines.

You should not eat raw, unprocessed butterbur root. Look for brands of specialized butterbur supplements that are labeled UPA-free; a certain percentage or milligrams of the helpful compound petasin may also be mentioned. Keep in mind that experts aren’t sure about the safety of using any butterbur supplements in the long term.

Phleum pratense
A few studies have found that a sublingual tablet made from pollen extracts from Phleum Phleum pratense can reduce some pollen allergy symptoms, such as eye irritation, in people with asthma, as well as help decrease symptoms in people suffering from hay fever. It also allowed people to reduce the dose of their allergy medicine.

Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a natural antihistamine, helping to reduce nasal secretions and inflammation.

Luckily, this vitamin and the flavonoids occur together in many foods, such as berries, plums, citrus fruits, peppers and brcocoli. Another option is to take extra vitamin C supplements during allergy flair-ups.

Echinacea and Goldenseal
An Echinacea and Goldenseal combination may help keep allergies in check. Echinacea is anti-viral; Goldenseal is anti-bacterial and soothes the mucous membranes.

Both herbs help to support immune response, which often becomes compromised due long-standing allergies. An Echinacea and Goldenseal combination may also be effective for treating, as well as preventing sinusitis.

NADH and Natural Relief for Sore Muscles

We have talked about how NADH has helped athletes be faster, stronger, better, improve times and results during workouts. NADH supplements also provide faster recovery. Mojo, is here to help you through your workouts, and here are some other remedies to help you feel better after.
If you are just starting a new exercise program, or just changing up your current gym routine, having muscle soreness is inevitable. While over-the-counter pain relievers are effective, they can be hard on your body over time and you may prefer using a natural form of pain relief. While some natural pain relievers are well known, here are some that aren't quite as well known.
Epsom Salt
Epsom salt, is a natural muscle relaxer and anti-inflammatory. Add a cup or two of Epsom salt to a hot bath and soak for as long as possible. Daily soaking baths help shorten healing time so pain ends sooner, Epson salt is also good for achieving soft skin.
Herbs
Herbs such as peppermint, cayenne and ginger are ingredients often found in pain-relieving creams. These herbs have anti-inflammatory properties and ease pain while. They also have a warming property to them that loosen tight muscles. Be careful when applying herbs with this warming property, application in sensitive areas can cause burning sensation.
Movement

If you're stiff and sore, don't stop moving! If you spend the day you are sore not moving around you will only become more stiff. Get moving, do some gentle stretching and go for a walk. If your muslces are tensed up and allowed to not have to stretch out it will just stay tensed up.

Lavender Oil
Lavender is a popular remedy for muscle pain relief. It has been used as a massage oil for thousands of years. Its cell regenerating and anti-inflammatory properties are well-documented, and it can be applied to the skin undiluted, unlike many essential oils. Its fragrance is well-known for its relaxation and sleep-inducing properties.

National Garlic Month

April is National Garlic Month, garlic has so many benefits, it is not just for adding flavor to your favorite dishes. Garlic is unique, with its white compound bulb encasing many small cloves in papery sheathes. Garlic has a distinctively pungent taste and smell, and may come fresh, dried; or as an extract, powder, oil, or tablet.

Antibacterial and Antiviral
Garlic is most well-known for its antibacterial and antiviral properties. They help control bacterial, viral, fungal, yeast and worm infections. Fresh garlic is thought to play a role in preventing food poisoning by killing bacteria like E. coli, Salmonella enteritidis, etc.

Immune Booster
Garlic is rich in manganese, vitamin B1, B6 and C; as well as phosphorus, selenium, calcium, potassium, iron and copper. Studies have been conducted showing that garlic helps improve stress and calm, which also aids in keeping your immune system strong.

Combat allergies
Garlic is known to have anti-inflammatory property. It can help the body fight against allergies. The anti-arthritic property of garlic is due to diallyl sulphide and thiacremonone. Garlic has been show to improve allergic airway inflammation (allergic rhinitis). Raw garlic juice may be used to immediately stop the itching due to rashes and bug bites.

Reduce weight
Garlic may help to regulate the formation of fat cells in our body. Pre-adipocytes are converted into fat cells (adipocytes) through inflammatory system activity. The anti-inflammatory property of 1, 2-DT (1, 2-vinyldithiin) found in garlic may help inhibit this conversion. This may help prevent weight gain.

Recipe Enhancer
Not only is garlic beneficial to health, it can add zest to a variety of foods. The best way to enjoy garlic's health benefits is to eat it raw, or close to raw. A temperature above 140F destroys the allicin, so it is best to add it at the very end of the cooking process after the dish has been removed from the source of heat.

The best news is that garlic is also very inexpensive! So pick some up today and enjoy Garlic Month!

Co-e1 NADA Supplements: Testimonial Tuesday!

Welcome to another Tuesday; we received an email from a new customer just yesterday, who began taking NADH for energy and found it cured another problem they were having! Read below to hear the story!

"In 2002, I was told that I had symptoms of Sjogren's, which includes severely dry eyes. When I wake up in the morning, before I can open my eyes I have to drown them in wetting solution then slowly and carefully pry them open to not damage my corneas.
6 weeks ago I started taking a 20 mg "Enada Mojo" sublingual, the only variation in my life that could account for a change in my condition. One recent morning I woke up, shocked that I simply opened my eyes because they were not glued shut. And a further surprise was that I didn't have to use eye drops throughout that day. Now, a week later my eyes are generally fine in the morning, which amazes me."

NADH Natural Energy Health Tip: Asparagus

Asparagus is nutrient rich, low in calories and a good source of dietary fiber, not to mention it is so good tasting! These things make asparagus for weight loss a good choice. Any weight loss program should include the addition of dietary fiber as it helps to reduce food intake by creating a sense of fullness and stabilizing blood sugar.

Asparagus contains asparigine, a natural diuretic that helps to remove waste and excess fluids from the body, preventing water weight gain, and contributing to the breakdown of fat in the body.

  • Asparagus also has a carbohydrate called inulin that stimulates healthy bacteria inside the large intestine, and healthy bacteria helps with digestion.

  • Asparagus is a good source of vitamin A which aids in promoting healthy eyes and clear vision.

  • It contains compounds that will help to keep your heart healthy.

  • This green veggie is full of folate and energizing B vitamins.

  • Other nutriends in asparagus include, vitamin C, K manganese, and iron.

  • Asparagus is full of fiber to help aid in promoting healthy digestion.

  • Asparagus boots immunity.

Energy Boosting Flavored Water

It is time to talk about our latest obsession: natural flavored water. Now we don't feel the need to lecture about how bad sports drinks, soda, and other "fruit" juices are, there are enough articles on the internet that can explain the dangers for you. We just want to highlight the joys and benefits that come with making your favorite flavored water at home.

We have a Brita Water Filter Pitcher because the water from the tap, at least here in California, is not great.
No point in adding to all the water bottle pile up,the Brita Water Filter Pitcher works well and makes the water have a nice crisp flavor.

Flavored water can be subtle or packed with the flavors infused into it. It all depends on what you want to use and how long you let it sit or seep.

What is needed:

Fruit: whatever kind you like (except bananas, too mushy). Make sure it's good and ripe for maximum sweetness and flavor, especially if using berries. The most popular flavored waters use citrus.
Fresh vs. frozen fruit. When in season, use fresh fruit. If out of season, use frozen, frozen is picked at the peak of ripeness.

Herbs: Many herbs are a surprising complement to fruit flavors. Mint, basil, rosemary, sage, thyme, lavender, and tarragon.

Something to put it in: We use mason jars, the larger the better, primarily because they look nicer and keep it colder, but any 2 quart pitcher will do.

Here are some of our favorite combinations!

Raspberry Lime: Start with 2 limes; with your hands, squeeze the juice into the jar, then throw in the squeezed lime quarters. Add how ever many raspberries you would like. Take a spoon, preferably wood, and press the ingredients down to release some of the juices (don't pulverize the fruit). Fill the jar with ice, then add water to the top. Stir, cover, and refrigerate.

Tip: You can also add mint leaves to this one for an extra flavor.

Mint, Cucumber, Lime: slice up 1/2 a cucumber, 1/2 a lime squeeze the juice into the jar, then throw in the squeezed lime quarters,1/4 cup fresh mint leaves. Take a spoon, preferably wood, and press the ingredients down to release some of the juices (don't pulverize the fruit). Fill the jar with ice, then add water to the top. Stir, cover, and refrigerate.

Strawberry, Lemon Baisl: 1/2 cup sliced strawberries, 1/2 a lemon, sliced, 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves. Take a spoon, preferably wood, and press the ingredients down to release some of the juices (don't pulverize the fruit). Fill the jar with ice, then add water to the top. Stir, cover, and refrigerate.

Watermelon Mint: 1 cup cubed watermelon, 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves.
Take a spoon, preferably wood, and press the ingredients down to release some of the juices (don't pulverize the fruit). Fill the jar with ice, then add water to the top. Stir, cover, and refrigerate.

Health Tip! Mint: Mint leaves are loaded with antioxidants and keep stomach cramps and acidity at bay. They have anti-inflammatory properties, and mint juice acts as an excellent skin cleanser.

At Home Cellulite Cures!

Cellulite seems to be one of those problems that plagues many women. We all seem to have some, or will have some at one point or another, so lets talk about it.
Magazines like this one pop up everywhere, its not pretty. Many sources have concluded the dimpled appearance of cellulite occurs due to problems or an imbalance of the connective tissue and fat in a person’s body. It is speculated that hormones, diet, lifestyle and genetics all play a role but there are no sureties. While those who are overweight tend to have a higher chance of getting cellulite, many thin women complain of it as well.

Here are 4 natural remedies we have tried or have done research on from trusted sources. They should all help balance the connective tissue/fat in the body and address the many possible causes.

Dry Brushing

Dry brushing is as an all-natural and safe remedy for cellulite. In addition to potentially ridding the area of cellulite, there are many health benefits associated with this practice. This is one remedy that there may not be any scientific evidence that it works but that there is a lot of anecdotal support for. This can include promotion of circulation. It also has exfoliating benefits for the skin, by sloughing off dead skin cells to enhance the overall appearance. Not to mention it feels great and helps stimulate blood and lymph flow in the body.

Dry skin brushing effectively opens up the pores on your skin. This is something you can and should be doing daily, even twice a day. Your skin should be dry, so the ideal time is in the shower before you turn on the water. Just a reminder, don’t get the brush wet.

You should only brush towards the heart. Making long sweeps, avoid back and forth, scrubbing and circular motions. Start at your feet, moving up the legs on both sides, then work from the arms toward your chest. On your stomach, direct the brush counterclockwise. And, don’t brush too hard: Skin should be stimulated and invigorated but not irritated or red.

Type of brush: The bristles should be natural, not synthetic, and preferably vegetable-derived. The bristles themselves should be somewhat stiff, though not too hard. Look for one that has an attachable handle for hard-to-reach spots, if necessary.

Coffee Scrub

Coffee scrubs can be beneficial in reducing cellulite as well. The massage and exfoliation benefits skin by stimulating blood/lymph flow and the caffeine in the coffee has a tightening effect. The internet has many recipes for coffee scrubs and wraps working for reducing cellulite and loose skin, and like the other remedies, it is at least worth a try.

You will need:
1/4 cup coffee grounds
3 tablespoons sugar or brown sugar
2-3 Tablespoons of melted coconut oil

Combine the ingredients to create a paste-like consistency (note that it will harden if cooled if you are using unrefined coconut oil). Store in a glass jar. Massage in to skin for several minutes using firm pressure and wash as usual. Use 2-3 times a week. Results should be visible within a couple of weeks.

Omega-3s

There is some evidence that consuming enough Omega-3 fatty acids and fat soluble vitamins will help reduce cellulite over time. Another theory is that consumption of trans-fats and the "wrong" kind of fats leads to an imbalance of fatty acids that smooth skin and tissue. Either way, Omega-3s and fat soluble vitamins are important for many other functions in the body, so it won’t hurt to try it!

Balance Hormones

It seems that many sources agree that hormones play a huge role in cellulite formation this is one reason why women typically get it more often then men. Working toward proper hormone balance can help reduce cellulite. Even if it doesn't get rid of cellulite, balancing hormones helps in so many other ways that it is worth working on!
