Sick and Tired

Echinacea for Cold and Flu Treatment

https://flic.kr/p/d1DuvA
Sick

This Echinacea purpurea plant, or purple flower, has been one of the most popular herbal medications all over the world for over a century.

Echinacea was the number one cold and flu remedy in the United States until it was displaced by sulfa antibiotics. Ironically, antibiotics are not effective for colds, while echinacea appears to offer some real help. Echinacea remains the primary remedy for minor respiratory infections in Germany, where over 1.3 million prescriptions are issued each year.

In Europe, and increasingly in the US as well, echinacea products are widely used to treat colds and flus.

The best scientific evidence about echinacea concerns its ability to help you recover from colds and minor flus more quickly. Evidence tells us that echinacea can actually help you get over colds much faster. It also appears to significantly reduce symptoms while you are sick. Echinacea may also be able to “abort” a cold, if taken at the first sign of symptoms.

Echinacea is usually taken at the first sign of a cold and continued for 7 to 14 days. Longer-term use of echinacea is not recommended. The best (though not entirely consistent) evidence supports the use of products made from the above-ground portions of E. purpurea (specifically, flowers, leaves and stems); E. pallida root has also shown promise, but E. purpurea root appears to be ineffective.

Many herbalists feel that liquid forms of echinacea are more effective than tablets or capsules, because they feel that part of echinacea’s benefit is due to activation of the tonsils through direct contact.26 However, there is no real evidence to support this contention.

Tired

Performance may be taken as needed to help naturally boost performance for 3-5 hours when taken at least one hour before activities such as traveling, time zone changes, studying, workouts, and hectic schedules. Sick and tired and need to be able to give a presentation or get through your schedule, just get your performance and be able to get the job done!

NADH is biological “Rocket Fuel”. It is the biological form of hydrogen which reacts with the oxygen present in our cells to produce energy, enhance mood and emotional balance, and offset fatigue.

Fun Fact Friday! Q&A

We get a lot of questions about our products, so here is a quick Q & A session to answer our most asked questions about NADH products.

Q. Are there any side effects from NADH?

Since the introduction of NADH in the early 1990s, the safety of NADH continues to be supported by several types of clinical data. First, the PDA approved two human clinical trials and any side effects found in these trials were required to be fully documented. The results of these trials were that not a single side effect was reported. No side effects have been observed in these patients. It's also important to know that hundreds of thousands of consumers have taken NADH since it was made available in health food stores and pharmacies in the United States more than four years ago, and consumers have reported no significant side effects.

Q. Can I take NADH with medication?

Yes, you can take NADH with medication, including the most common antihypertensive, antidepressant, and antihistaminic drugs. In one of the PDA‐approved clinical trials, many patients were on antihypertensive and/or anti‐depressive and/or antihistaminic drugs. No interference was observed with these medications. However, be sure to check with your health care professional for his or her advice.

Q. When is the best time to take NADH?

The best time to take NADH is first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, 30 minutes before any food, drugs, or other supplements, with a glass of water. The NADH tablets are enteric coated and are designed to bypass the stomach and "float" with water into the intestine where absorption takes place. If you need additional energy for the late afternoon or evening, you can also take an additional NADH tablet either thirty minutes before lunch or about two hours after lunch, and again, at least thirty minutes before a late afternoon snack or an early dinner. It is important that NADH is taken on an empty stomach so it can easily "flush" or move into the intestines where it is absorbed.

However, the ENADA MOJO and MOJO Plus tablets can be taken any time, regardless of when you last ate.

Q. How soon should I expect to see results with NADH?

The answer to this question varies according to the individual. Each of us has a very unique biochemistry: Our bodies absorb food and nutrients differently, and our metabolisms often differ in other dramatic ways. On average, optimal effectiveness is shown in four weeks of continuous usage. However, many healthy individuals report an improvement in energy levels within five to ten days. NADH must enter the billions of cell structures for energy production to begin, so first‐time users may need to be patient before seeing beneficial results.

Q. How long can I take NADH?

For normal healthy people who are taking NADH for increased daily energy and mental clarity, optimal effectiveness is achieved within one month of continuous usage. One month, therefore, is the minimum time period to take the product. After one month of continuous usage, normal healthy individuals who supplement with NADH for energy can try using it on an every‐other‐day basis.

However, it is best to take NADH daily. Research suggests that NADH can be taken safely for long periods of time. Many people have been taking NADH for several years with no side effects reported. The body is in a continuous state of refueling itself with cellular energy and NADH is a very efficient cellular energizer. So, the more NADH

the body has available, the more the body will use to produce more energy. If you are taking NADH therapeutically, continuous daily usage is recommended. However, it is always best to check with your healthcare provider to help monitor long‐term usage of any supplement.

We will be doing more Q&A post in the future. If you have any questions make sure to comment or submit one here!

At Home Cellulite Cures!

Cellulite seems to be one of those problems that plagues many women. We all seem to have some, or will have some at one point or another, so lets talk about it.
Magazines like this one pop up everywhere, its not pretty. Many sources have concluded the dimpled appearance of cellulite occurs due to problems or an imbalance of the connective tissue and fat in a person’s body. It is speculated that hormones, diet, lifestyle and genetics all play a role but there are no sureties. While those who are overweight tend to have a higher chance of getting cellulite, many thin women complain of it as well.

Here are 4 natural remedies we have tried or have done research on from trusted sources. They should all help balance the connective tissue/fat in the body and address the many possible causes.

Dry Brushing

Dry brushing is as an all-natural and safe remedy for cellulite. In addition to potentially ridding the area of cellulite, there are many health benefits associated with this practice. This is one remedy that there may not be any scientific evidence that it works but that there is a lot of anecdotal support for. This can include promotion of circulation. It also has exfoliating benefits for the skin, by sloughing off dead skin cells to enhance the overall appearance. Not to mention it feels great and helps stimulate blood and lymph flow in the body.

Dry skin brushing effectively opens up the pores on your skin. This is something you can and should be doing daily, even twice a day. Your skin should be dry, so the ideal time is in the shower before you turn on the water. Just a reminder, don’t get the brush wet.

You should only brush towards the heart. Making long sweeps, avoid back and forth, scrubbing and circular motions. Start at your feet, moving up the legs on both sides, then work from the arms toward your chest. On your stomach, direct the brush counterclockwise. And, don’t brush too hard: Skin should be stimulated and invigorated but not irritated or red.

Type of brush: The bristles should be natural, not synthetic, and preferably vegetable-derived. The bristles themselves should be somewhat stiff, though not too hard. Look for one that has an attachable handle for hard-to-reach spots, if necessary.

Coffee Scrub

Coffee scrubs can be beneficial in reducing cellulite as well. The massage and exfoliation benefits skin by stimulating blood/lymph flow and the caffeine in the coffee has a tightening effect. The internet has many recipes for coffee scrubs and wraps working for reducing cellulite and loose skin, and like the other remedies, it is at least worth a try.

You will need:
1/4 cup coffee grounds
3 tablespoons sugar or brown sugar
2-3 Tablespoons of melted coconut oil

Combine the ingredients to create a paste-like consistency (note that it will harden if cooled if you are using unrefined coconut oil). Store in a glass jar. Massage in to skin for several minutes using firm pressure and wash as usual. Use 2-3 times a week. Results should be visible within a couple of weeks.

Omega-3s

There is some evidence that consuming enough Omega-3 fatty acids and fat soluble vitamins will help reduce cellulite over time. Another theory is that consumption of trans-fats and the "wrong" kind of fats leads to an imbalance of fatty acids that smooth skin and tissue. Either way, Omega-3s and fat soluble vitamins are important for many other functions in the body, so it won’t hurt to try it!

Balance Hormones

It seems that many sources agree that hormones play a huge role in cellulite formation this is one reason why women typically get it more often then men. Working toward proper hormone balance can help reduce cellulite. Even if it doesn't get rid of cellulite, balancing hormones helps in so many other ways that it is worth working on!

Testimonial Tuesday!

Our testimonial today comes from a young college student. Ciara is in her fourth year at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. It is a four year medical school in which they learn to diagnose and treat patients therapeutically with a variety of natural holistic methods. Her story is a lot like other students, stressed out, long days, long nights leading to fatigue. Here is how her experience with our supplements went.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/afagen/8237954806/

"As a personal testimonial, I heard about NADH from one of my instructors. I knew about NADH and its role in cellular energy metabolism from Biochemistry, nut was not aware of it being available as a supplement. I have suffered from chronic fatigue and adrenal burnout from increased stress since I started school three years ago. I decided to try the product. I have been taking ENADA 5mg daily in the morning for a little over one month now and have had absolutely phenomenal results.

Prior to beginning the NADH, I had daily fatigue, unable to exercise because of fatigue. I had no energy reserve at all, as I became very stingy of how I was going to spend my energy in any given day. I needed more and more coffee to remain somewhat alert. I had "brain fog," I felt sluggish kind of like I had a cloud hanging over my body. I was sometimes forgetful and it was very difficult to wake up and stay focused in my studies. Even with taking an adrenal glandular supplement and dessicated thyroid, it did not help much. From the first day I took Enada, I noticed a different state of mind, was able to think clearly, and felt more energetic. I all of a sudden had mental clarity with a sharp state of mind, was able to think clearly and felt more energy, I was able to to start exercising for at least 30 min a day. My muscles used to get fatigued very quickly before, but now they don't get as tired or painful, I could easily keep going for longer periods of time. I no longer need coffee to get me through the day. If I drink coffee now its by choice, not necessity.

I am so excited about the merits of this product as it has worked so well for me, I will continue to use if for myself and recommend or prescribe it to the many people I work with, as I already have.

Sincerely,
Ciara Gail"

She had such amazing results! We are so pleased we are able to help so many different people in so many ways! If you have a story to share or just want to give our products a try. Check out our website here!

Meatless Monday

It is a sure thing that if you are on any kind of social media outlet online, you will have heard of Meatless Mondays. This is a popular trend that took over the blogging world. Meatless Monday is a non-profit initiative of The Monday Campaigns Inc. The program follows the nutrition guidelines developed by the USDA. Healthy Monday encourages Americans to make healthier decisions at the start of every week. Meatless Monday began in 2003, launched in association with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public HealthMeatless Monday say they are now active in 29 countries and growing because every nation can bring its unique culture, customs and cuisine to the table in meat free and vegetarian dishes. It quickly became popular in the states and in May, 2009, Ghent, Belgium, became the first non-U.S. city to go meatless. Shortly thereafter, Paul McCartney introduced the U.K. to Meat-Free Mondays.

They have numerous studies that show skipping meat one day a week is good for you, great for your nation’s health, and fantastic for the planet.
On average, Americans consume 8 ounces of meat per day; 45% more than the USDA recommends. Going meatless one day a week can reduce the risk of chronic preventable conditions like cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. It can also help limit people’s carbon footprint and save precious resources like fresh water and fossil fuel.

There are now a number of restaurants that participate in meatless Monday, providing meatless menus and highlight meatless options on Mondays.

Like mentioned before, the blogging world has fallen in love with Meatless Mondays. Do a simple search on the internet and there are a million meatless recipes now. We wanted to highlight some of our own, as well as fellow bloggers, favorites. Meatless doesn't mean to only eat carbs or a salad. Here are some yummy creative recipes.

Here’s a way to pack even more veggies into your meatless pizza! Instead of flour, this crust is made with finely shredded cauliflower, making it gluten-free and packed with vitamin C. This recipe comes to us from Tina Muir of Fuel Your Future with Tina.

A simple but delicious omelet. 2 egg whites one full egg, onions, tomatoes, green peppers, salt, seasonal salt, and covered in Cholula hot sauce. You can throw in any vegetables you heart desires.

Fun Fact Friday! NADH and Fibromyalgia

http://painbehindkneecure.com/9-most-common-fibromyalgia-myths/

NADH stands for "nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) + hydrogen (H)." This chemical occurs naturally in the body and plays a role in the chemical process that generates energy.

NADH sets off a chemical chain reaction. Every molecule of NADH results in the production of three molecules of ATP energy. Without NADH, the mitochondria cannot produce energy and the cells will die.

Fibromyalgia is a common syndrome in which a person has long-term, body-wide pain and tenderness in the joints, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissues. Fibromyalgia has also been linked to fatigue, sleep problems, headaches, depression, and anxiety.
Oral NADH supplementation have been used to combat simple fatigue as well as such this mysterious and energy-sapping disorder.

Who is Mojo for?

High-Demand Executives
While some workplace stress is normal, excessive stress can interfere with your productivity and impact your total health. Mojo helps by managing the symptoms of stress, lack of concentration, and low energy. Great for high-demand executives who need that extra edge! Perfect for boosting stamina and endurance, mental clarity and focus, help alleviate drowsiness, and increase energy.

Low energy affects the brain by producing symptoms such as poor concentration, fatigue and decreased cognitive ability and organ efficiency. Mojo is a safe alternative to caffeine, energy drinks or pills, designed to absorb quickly and increase energy and alertness at the cellular level. NADH is the energy-building bio-available co-enzyme form of vitamin B3, and occurs naturally in all living cells.

High-Level Performing Athletes
Mojo caters to the demands of today’s high-level performing athletes and active lifestyles. NADH is the spark plug to energy production! NADH is the biological form of hydrogen that reacts with the oxygen we breathe in to form energy and water. When cellular energy is required, ATP is broken down under the action of water to release energy. One molecule of NADH will form THREE times the amount of ATP! This supplies vital energy to the brain, heart, muscles, and all other organs.

Given that athletes use more energy than non-athletes, it makes sense that a natural energy supplement substance like NADH would result in improved performance. Mojo is designed to improve oxygen capacity, increase reaction time, and greater mental acuity and alertness.Conversely, an NADH deficiency results in reduced strength, power and performance.

Let it Go. Giving the Gift of Peace.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/116666834@N07/12409016134/

The owner of our company came in this morning and declared that today is to be the day that we let go. The day we forgive and forget. Today is the day we choose to be stronger than the "drama" in our lives and choose to make life better.

He wrote on our whiteboard this quote:

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
Mahatma Gandhi

He is a very health conscience and passionate man. So I couldn't help but use his passion and determination as inspiration for today's post. I mean it was literally the first thing he declared when he passed my office this morning. Our business mission is to develop and market safe, reliable, effective products, which will improve the quality of life for all people, our wish goes beyond our supplements and we dream of a world with overall happiness and wellness.
I think that we all can think of someone that has wronged us and it isn't easy to carry anger and hurt. To completely let go of something painful and forgive the person who may or may not have realized what they did is a hard thing to do. It is easy at times to be convinced that the person who hurt did it with full intention and cruelty. Feeling no compassion; just unadulterated pain and rage.
This is usually not the case however. Generally no one is purely bad, and everyone carries pain that influences their decisions. This doesn't condone their thoughtless, insensitive, or selfish decisions, but it makes them easier to understand. After all, we've all been thoughtless, insensitive, and selfish at times. Usually, we have good intentions. After doing research we have come up with ways to let go and reasons to forgive, to forget, and to heal.

Time

We have all heard it but it is the truth. If you can't move on right now don't beat yourself up. You do not want to keep thinking of the past. If you don’t feel forgiving, you can at least not act on anger and count that as a triumph. Remember that we are all doing the best we can at the time. Don’t force it. Yes, by all means set goals and take steps in the right direction, but don’t disregard the baby steps, these steps are your life’s story. Let go of all the needless trying and let yourself take these steps peacefully and mindfully. When you let go of it, you get over the anger/bitterness that you felt and it clears the path for forgiveness. Eventually forgiveness will come if you welcome it.

Get it Out

Write a brutally honest, emotionally raw letter telling them how much they have hurt and angered you. Or write about everything that is bothering you and how you feel at the time. Then read it, hopefully it will bring out some emotion and can help you sort your feelings. Then tear it up, think about the fact that you are not that hurt and that anger. It is fleeting, just like everything else. Let the letter carrying your hurt and disappointment disappears into the air, you can let it go.
Hopefully you will come to the realization that no one ever gets to the end of their life and thinks, “I wish I stayed angry longer.”

Be a little Selfish

Remind yourself to forgive not for them but for you and that it’s easier to forgive than to hang on to so much anger, hurt and betrayal. If you have done all you can do and they choose to still be hateful or hurtful, just do what you need to do and forget about them. Remember you. Working on a better you is more fulfilling than hanging on. Let it all go and hold on to your growth and kindness instead. If you train yourself to consistently be more loving in thoughts and actions, your positive energy will attract more positive results into your current reality.
Be unlike the person or situation that hurt you. Let go and grow past your pain. Carry on living well in a way that creates peace in your heart. The energy you would spend reliving a situation can be better spent creating an amazing future for yourself.

Don't be so hard on yourself
Let go of the need to forgive every mistake."Mistakes are the growing pains of wisdom." We all make mistakes, they just need to be accepted, not forgiven. There is an obvious shift in your heart and mind that happens when you go from feeling hurt and upset to peaceful and loving, but it’s not necessarily forgiveness that’s taking place, it’s just the realization that there was nothing to forgive in the first place. Perfection doesn't exist. Forgiveness is oftentimes the simple realization that there is nothing that actually needs to be forgiven.

Testimonial Tuesday! Parkinson's Disease

It is so rewarding and overwhelming for us to receive so many amazing stories from our customers! Our goal is to help people and make lives a little better and a little easier. Our latest testimonial comes to us from New York. We have done extensive research about NADH and Parkinson's disease, unfortunately there is not yet a cure, but we have been able to greatly improve the lives of many, and this mans story is just one of them.

My name is William Catn, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank your company. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease a year ago. My Neurologist monitored my progress for six months and decided to start me on Eldypryl. Less than six months later he prescribed Sinemet CR. Having a family that researches every topic concern PD, and knowing that the benefits of Sinemet become limited over time, you can understand my enthusiasm when I discovered NDAH.

Your products was found, no other place than the Harvard PD forum on the internet! This bulletin board serves as a information network for many PD patients who are searching for alternative treatment with the best response without limiting them to drugs that have a limited life. On this webpage, there were several post from Parkinson's patients that had tried NADH and had experienced favorable reactions to the co-enzyme. From this information I began my own research, reading everything that was available about NADH.

I decided to order from you and within the first week my family and I began to see drastic changes in my facial masking and rigidity. I decided to start my NADH slowly in the beginning with only half of a 5mg tablet. After a week I increased my dosage and now only a month into NADH therapy I am taking 10mg without any Sinmet!

I thought it would be interesting for you to know how this natural supplements has aided me in my managements of this disease. My only regret is that I did not know of it sooner, but without it I would hate to image where I would be now.

My deepest thanks to your company.
Sincerely,

William Catn

If you or a loved is living with Parkinson's disease we encourage all, to do as this man did, and research our product, email us for a sample and see how much better life can be.

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! If you found yourself in a rush this morning forgetting to wear green. Don't be stressed, just print out these free no pinch zone signs here! Then hang them in your office, house, class room, wherever pinching is a possible threat!

To celebrate St Patrick's day we have complied 5 fun facts about St. Patrick! And just because wearing green slipped your mind that doesn't mean that you can get away with not eating green. All you need to do is whip up a quick green drink, special St. Patrick's Day recipe below!

1. St. Patrick wasn't Irish.
St. Patrick wasn't Irish, and he wasn't born in Ireland. Patrick's parents were Roman citizens living in modern-day England.

2. Why is St. Patrick's Day celebrated on March 17th?
St. Patrick died on March 17, 461 AD.

3.Green has not always been the color associated with St. Patrick's Day

Hard to believe, but St. Patrick's color was blue. The Order of St. Patrick, established in 1783, selected blue as its color because dark green was already taken. Green became popular with the 1798 Irish Rebellion when wearing a clover on a lapel became a sign.

4. The Shamrock is not the symbol of Ireland.
The shamrock is a popular Irish symbol, but it is not the symbol of Ireland. As early as the medieval period, the harp has appeared on Irish gravestones and manuscripts. It is the only country to have an instrument as their symbol.

5. St. Patrick used the shamrock to preach about the trinity.
Many claim the shamrock represents faith, hope, and love, or any number of other things but it was actually used by Patrick to teach the mystery of the Holy Trinity, and how three things, the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit could be separate entities.

Bonus Fact: Your odds of finding a four-leaf clover are about 1 in 10,000.

Fact Friday! NADH Why?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/upholds/991317849/

If you could take a natural substance that occurs in every single cell to increase your overall energy, would you?

If you could take a natural substance that boosts the immune system and protects your cells from damage, would you?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/anvrecife/4397048396/

If you could take a natural substance that enhances your cognitive capability and improve your memory, would you?

Good news: you can. There is a natural biological substance that offers these benefits and many more. This substance is NADH, the abbreviation for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide with high‐energy hydrogen. NADH is also known as coenzyme 1, scientific research and physicians’ experience shows that it has a profoundly important effect to keep you healthy and energetic.

So what exactly is NADH? It is a naturally‐occurring and vital compound found in ALL living cells of plants, animals, and humans. It is essential for adequate energy, and supplementation can improve energy levels. The human body carries on many important functions or activities at the same time.

All of these activities require cellular energy production. The memory, immune system, and even the DNA repair system are dependent on the proper production of cellular energy. NADH has also been proven to increase energy, as well as act as an anti-aging nutrient, enhances memory, is the body’s top antioxidant, and can help with specific diseases such as Parkinson’s, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), depression, and Alzheimer’s disease.

ENADA is the only brand of NADH currently available that is stabilized and is actually protected by several worldwide patents. Competitors continue to try to bypass these patents and introduce NADH products. However, all these products are non‐stabilized forms of NADH. When subjected to independent laboratory analysis and validation, the majority of these products do not contain any NADH. The result of the absence of NADH in these products hurts consumers and leaves the impression that NADH is ineffective. Remember, if an NADH product isn’t stabilized, you’re wasting more so for their health ailments, such as Alzheimer’s disease or chronic fatigue syndrome, than for energy boosts.

For those customers who desire immediate effects, we have recently added another supplement to our collection. ENADA MOJO is fast‐acting and designed for demanding and active lifestyles. It has been carefully crafted without the enteric coating of the other ENADA pill, thus can be taken at any time, regardless of when you last ate. Also ENADA MOJO comes in 10mg and 20mg doses, so you can tackle that last mile or extra work hours with energy and integrity.
So now you’re probably wondering which supplement is right for you. Well, it depends on what
results you are looking for. If you have an active, busy lifestyle and require more energy in less
time, then the MOJO tablets are most likely best for you. The 10mg tablets are for people who desire quick energy, but aren’t doing anything extreme, such as intense physical exertion. These are best for the everyday person with everyday tasks at hand. The 20mg tablets are for those that exert a lot of physical effort or are in need of constant energy throughout the day. This may be a triathlete before and during his or her race, or an executive with days constantly full of meetings and negotiations. Simply put, the 20mg is just a more intense than the 10mg, so based on the amount of energy you need, you can decide which supplement is right for you.

If you are taking ENADA supplements for health purposes, the 5mg tablets are for you. These ones are taken daily, in the morning, and have a slower effect as they are dissolved in the lower intestine. The dosage is perfect to fight off ailments from such diseases as Parkinson’s disease, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, and Alzheimer’s

Sleepy Times

We have been told since we were children that we need to get our sleep, but just how important is sleeping for our health?

A recent survey found that more people are sleeping less than six hours a night, and sleep difficulties visit 75% of us at least a few nights per week. A short-lived bout of insomnia is generally nothing to worry about. The bigger concern is chronic sleep loss, which can contribute to health problems such as weight gain, high blood pressure, and a decrease in the immune system.Sleep makes you feel better, but its importance goes way beyond just boosting your mood or banishing under-eye circles. Here are some reasons why you should be catching those Zzz's!

1. Learning and memory:
Sleep helps the brain commit new information to memory through a process called memory consolidation. In studies, people who’d slept after learning a task did better on tests later.

2. Cardiovascular health:
Serious sleep disorders have been linked to hypertension, increased stress hormone levels, and irregular heartbeat.

Disease:
Sleep deprivation alters immune function, including the activity of the body’s killer cells. Keeping up with sleep may also help fight cancer

3. Steer clear of depression:
A lack of sleep can contribute to depression. A good night’s sleep can really help a moody person decrease their anxiety. You get more emotional stability with good sleep. If you think the long hours put in during the week are the cause of your anxiety or impatience, sleep cannot necessarily be made up during the weekend. It’s all about finding a balance. Sleep loss may result in irritability, impatience, inability to concentrate, and moodiness. Too little sleep can also leave you too tired to do the things you like to do.

4. Lower stress:
When it comes to our health stress and sleep are nearly one and the same, and both can affect cardiovascular health. Sleep can definitely reduce levels of stress, and with that people can have better control of their blood pressure. It’s also believed that sleep effects cholesterol levels, which plays a significant role in heart disease.

5. Have a healthy weight:
If you are thinking about going on a diet, you might want to plan an earlier bedtime too. Researchers at the University of Chicago found that dieters who were well rested lost more fat, 56% of their weight loss—than those who were sleep deprived, who lost more muscle mass. (They shed similar amounts of total weight regardless of sleep.) Dieters in the study also felt more hungry when they got less sleep.

Sleep and metabolism are controlled by the same sectors of the brain. When you are sleepy, certain hormones go up in your blood, and those same hormones drive appetite.

6. Curb inflammation:
Inflammation is linked to heart disease, stroke, diabetes, arthritis, and premature aging. Research indicates that people who get less sleep, six or fewer hours a night, have higher blood levels of inflammatory proteins than those who get more.

7. Makes Us More Active:
A good night’s sleep will make us feel more active and alert on the following day. Energy levels after a good sleep are higher, your mental awareness is more acute and you are more likely to smile more. A restful sleep session not only feels great, but it increases our chances for another good night’s sleep next time we go to bed.

It is hard in a busy world to get what you need to do done and then get to sleep at a decent time. Our energy products are natural, they will give you the boost and mental clarity you need to have energy through out the day but still be able to fall sleep at night. Adequate sleep is a key part of a healthy lifestyle, and can benefit your heart, weight, mind, and more.

Testimonial Tuesday: Chronic Fatigue

Our testimonial today comes from Jane Lee, a 62 year old woman who has suffered from chronic fatigue for most of her life. She has gone to countless doctors with no relief, we are so pleased that our natural products have been able to help her.

For those that don't know chronic fatigue syndrome, or CFS, is a debilitating and complex disorder characterized by profound fatigue that is not improved by bed rest and that may be worsened by physical or mental activity. Symptoms affected several body systems and my include weakness, muscle pain, impaired memory and/or mental concentration, and insomnia, which can result in reduced participation in daily activities.

"You have helped me more in 30 days without ever seeing me than 7 doctors have with their examinations, treatments and medications.

I was introduced to NADH at a seminar and given a handout showing that you have spent more than a decade researching the effect of NADH.

I went to a doctor for exhaustion and sleep problems the first time in 1971. In 1974 I went to a different doctor and was hospitalized for a week for tests. I have since been to 5 other doctors and have even gone to two psychologist and a minister. I have taken all the sleep medications you can think of. After a series of test I was put on medication for Parkinsons.

The chronic fatigue has been almost unbearable at times combined with the Parkinsons symptoms. It was really tough to keep on working.

I have really overcome a lot of problems in my body over the last 18 years, but I took the first NADH on Monday morning, and on that Thursday morning I was surprised at how good I felt and as I was walking from from the bust stop to where I work. I have steadily felt better and stronger each day. I am sleeping better than I have ever slept in all my 62 years.

I am excited to see what the NADH will continue to do. It is wonderful to just be tired, not exhausted, but not sluggish, and the soreness in my muscles has improved remarkably. I do expect with these inclining results I will see a total recovery. I have been seeking it for more than 18 years now and have overcome many disorders, but the sleepiness and tiredness has been the most difficult part. I am getting on in years and I am excited to spend the rest of my life feeling great.

Thank you for your help!"

Jane Lee

Latest Trend: Oil Pulling

Oil pulling has been the talk of the blogger world lately and we at the Co-E1 team had to try it out. We believe in using natural remedies, all our products are natural boosters that promote wellness from your cells. So natural remedies we love. Oil pulling has been around for years. it’s an ancient Ayurvedic technique that involves swishing natural virgin oil in your mouth for 20 minutes to help improve your oral & overall health. Just like oil is good for your skin, oil is able to cut through plaque and remove toxins without harming the teeth or gums.

The benefits are different for everyone but generally the benefits are:

- Whitens teeth (without leaving them sensitive like chemical whiteners)
- Strengthens your gums/teeth/& jaw. It helps with sensitive teeth & even has reported to help TMJ sufferers like myself.
- Prevents cavities & gingivitis. Some people even reported it helped their cavities?! I am not so sure about that one… but who knows?!
- Helps get rid of acne/ eczema/ psoriasis/ & other skin care issues.
- General body detox.
- Cures a hangover and migraine.
- Helps with sleep issues.
- Clears out your sinuses & helps allergy sufferers.
- If you have halitosis, oil pulling has been a big savior for many sufferers & your morning breath will get MUCH better.
- Helps with general pain issues.
- Manages hormonal imbalances.
- and so much more.

It's pretty easy to do. Pick your oil, our team member here uses Organic coconut oil, but any vegetable based oil (sesamesunflower, olive) will work. Coconut oil also has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. To do it you simply put anywhere from a teaspoon to a tablespoon of oil, depending on how much you can handle having in your mouth, and swish it around for 15-20min (no more than 20). It may sound like a long time, but if you do it while cleaning or surfing the internet it goes by fast. If you feel like your mouth is fulling up, just spit some of it out and keep going.

Pull the oil through your teeth and make sure NOT to swallow it. Once you start the process, the oil fills up with bacteria (which is what you’re trying to get rid of), so you don’t want to swallow it. After 20 min just spit out the oil into a plastic baggy or directly into the trash. Don’t spit it down the drain cause the oil will solidify and really clog the plumbing pipes.

Our team member has been doing it for about a month now and she says: "My teeth are so much whiter, which isn't way I even tried it so its a great benefit. The best result of all for me is I suffer from TMJ and by doing this my jaw pain has decreased! When I first tried it I spit the oil out as soon as I put it in my mouth. It freaked me out, but I kept trying and by the third day I was used to the feeling I could do it for the full 20min no problem. I went to the dentist recently and I had the best appointment I have every had. My family has a history of bad teeth, even though I brush and floss regularly, I have never gone to the dentist without multiple cavities. This time when I went I only had one! I am not a medical professional. I just researched the method, tried it, and saw that it worked for me first hand."
