Follow these tips to help you stay hydrated during these heat waves, or save the tips for when we get further into the summer months.
Get Energy
Being in the heat takes so much more out a person no matter what they are doing. Supplements the NADH you are losing doing every day tasks. NADH is biological “Rocket Fuel”. It is the biological form of hydrogen which reacts with the oxygen present in our cells to produce energy, enhance mood and emotional balance, and offset fatigue. Enada is the only company that has FDA approved stabilized NADH supplements.
Hydration Done Right
- Although soda, coffee and iced tea may temporarily quench your need for a drink, the sugar and caffeine in these beverages will soak up your body's water reserves. That means that if you drink nothing but coffee or soda, you’ll end up less hydrated than you think. The best thing you can do for your body is to drink as much clean, pure water as possible. Water is one of the healthiest beverages you can drink, especially in the summertime. If you want to stay hydrated, try to get into good habits like:
- If you must drink soda, follow any soda or juice drink with a glass of water
- Limit highly caffeinated beverages
- Carrying a water bottle with you
Watch Your Sweating
If you find yourself really sweating and losing more water than the norm, your body also needs a steady supply of electrolytes. Electrolytes are minerals that your body uses to normalize pH balance and send signals that regulate your body’s physical activity. Electrolytes can be found in most sports drinks, but they also naturally occur in most fruits and vegetables.
Easy Breezy
Make sure to take the lead of those who spend most of their lives in tropical climates and make outfit choices accordingly. You can really bead the heat by wearing loose, lightweight cotton and linen clothing. Pick clothes that breath and wont hold in the heat.
Hit the Showers
A really easy trick to beating the heat is to jump in the shower to regulate your body temperature. Before you try to go to sleep or if you just can't stand how hot you feel jump in the shower and take a cold one. The cold water hitting your chest etc. will bring down your core temperature.
